JOB DESCRIPTION: ACCOUNT DIRECTOR (Full -or- Part Time Employment)
Reports to: Vice President of Relationships
Because we want to be up front, please know that this position will have a 90-day probationary period from the start date. We want to make sure this is a right fit for everyone.
Salary Range
Commensurate with experience.
Payroll + Benefits
You will be paid bi-weekly on every other Friday in accordance with the Company’s normal payroll procedures (26 pay periods per year). At this time, Ensemble does not offer any additional benefits to employees outside of paid vacation and personal time off.
Perks
Ensemble offers paid holidays per the outlined schedule below, and you are also entitled to 10 paid time off (PTO) days per calendar year (your paid time off will be prorated for 2021 based on your formal start day). You may roll over three unused PTO days to the following year.
Mileage, travel and expense reimbursement policies are available to you upon your start. Ensemble will provide a laptop computer and all necessary software to accomplish the job. We request that employees use their personal cellphones and receive a stipend for work use. You will also receive a $50 allowance per pay period for your cellphone use. Office supplies (including a printer, scanner, etc.) are available at the office. Should employees choose to work from home for portions of their workdays, we ask that they take responsibility for outfitting a proper workspace outside of the office.
Work Environment
Since 2020, Ensemble has adopted a flexible work environment. Given the nature of our business, some weeks are heavier and some are lighter, and we encourage recuperation time when business is slower. We maintain an office in The Cedars (just south of Downtown Dallas) and enjoy face time with the team but encourage our team to work in the environment that best suits their comfort level, work style, and efficiency. We are much more drawn toward fulfilling our promises than punching a clock (although we do ask our team to track their time since we are an agency model, and our revenue is contingent upon hours!). We are flexible, especially given our current circumstances, and when face time is involved, we take every precaution to make sure that our employees, clients, vendors, and contractors are as safe as possible.
Responsibilities
Client-facing experience/tasks: Leading clients through challenges that arise, leading client meetings, establishing client approved-communication / scheduling / file sharing processes / protocols, etc.
Ability to lead projects while jumping into a support role or onsite role with team members who are leading other projects.
Experience in strategic planning and/or creative and theme development. The ability to help the "vision of the event" come to life.
Responsible for (short and long-term) project management and teams working on those projects
Responsible for projects being completed on time and on (or under) budget
Responsible for managing the day-to-day client relationship and needs
Responsible for knowing all of the ins and outs of current clients / projects
Prepare meeting agendas, update reports and timelines, and wrap up reports for projects
Directs client and vendor relationships and contracts
Coordinates with Vice President to set up new client and vendor set-up and paperwork (including filing W9s and signed contracts)
Ensures all vendor invoices are routed and coded to proper projects; coordinates with team to determine special needs/priorities
Provides input to President and Vice President for proposals, statements of work and estimates for current/potential clients
Consult with Vice President before committing to timelines with clients
Responsible for quality control on products (from staff and vendors)
Identifies when a capacity or skill set is needed and makes recommendations to management team for a solution
Experience Required
Minimum of seven years of experience in event planning, project management, production, public affairs, advertising, marketing or public relations
Strong project management skills
Strong budget management experience
Experience managing a team as well as vendors
Excellent verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills
Advanced computer skills with expert-level knowledge of Microsoft programs and Adobe Suite a plus
Knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
Experience with InDesign, MailChimp, Eventbrite, Squarespace is a plus
Ability to lead teams and mentor employees
Ability and willingness to travel as necessary for certain projects
BS/BA degree strongly preferred
